We are seeking a proactive and organized Operations and Flight Coordinator to manage technical test flights, field operations, and daily logistics within our United States office. In this essential role, you will be responsible for ensuring the alignment and reliable execution of UAV platforms, pilots, and test schedules. It is important to note that this position does not involve flying; rather, you will collaborate closely with pilots, engineers, and technical leads to facilitate the successful conduct of flights.
Your duties will include prioritizing tasks, managing preparation for field days, coordinating flight locations, ensuring safety protocols are followed, and maintaining technical coordination between the United States and Europe.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate all flight and test activities on a weekly basis
- Plan and track availability of platforms, teams, and locations
- Schedule and confirm test flights, demos, and client visits
- Ensure required hardware is staged, updated, and field-ready
- Maintain field equipment and readiness checklists
- Track status of current UAVs and assign for specific tasks
- Coordinate with Europe-based engineering and integration teams
- Support sync meetings with engineers, pilots, and management
- Contribute to internal process improvements (flight logs, planning sheets, retrospectives)
- Ensure safety procedures are followed during all flight activities
- Collect and organize test results and flight data for further analysis
Skills and Experience:
Project Coordination
- Experience managing schedules, tasks, or people (even informal)
- Experience in managing airfield traffic would be an advandage;
- Comfortable managing checklists, logs, and hardware tracking
- Good time awareness and ability to align others
Communication
- Clear communicator with distributed teams
- Capable of preparing structured reports, flight plans, demo scenarios and overviews
- Comfortable giving team updates in internal meetings
- Strong negotiation skills
Tech Understanding
- Familiarity with UAV systems (multirotor / fixed-wing)
- Understands basic components and workflows
- Not required to fly, but must understand the “why” and “how”
- Understanding of the safety practices on the airfiled
Nice to Have:
- Experience working with pilots or UAV projects, or air traffic control
- Familiarity with ArduPilot / Betaflight workflows
- Previous operations experience in R&D or hardware field
- Familiarity with Azure DevOps / Microsoft products
- Security clearance
- Understanding of FAA Drone rules and procedures

Compensation
- Compensation Range: $62,000 to $140,000 per year
This range reflects current market data for Flight Coordinator roles across the United States. Actual compensation will depend on factors such as experience, certifications, geographic location, and the scope of responsibilities.
