A leading U.S.-based manufacturer specializing in precision-engineered aerospace and aviation components is seeking a seasoned Chief Operating Officer (COO) to oversee all aspects of operations and drive organizational performance. This executive will serve as the company’s second-in-command, reporting directly to the CEO, and will be instrumental in aligning operational strategy with business growth objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and optimize operations across manufacturing, engineering, quality, supply chain, and administrative functions
- Develop and execute strategies that enhance production efficiency, product quality, and on-time delivery for critical aerospace and aviation customers
- Partner with the CEO on strategic planning, new market initiatives, and expansion projects
- Ensure compliance with AS9100, FAA, ITAR, and other relevant aerospace regulations and standards
- Foster a culture of safety, continuous improvement, and technical excellence
- Leverage performance metrics and data analysis to guide decision-making and improve operational outcomes
- Build and mentor high-performing leadership teams to support scalable growth
Qualifications
- Executive leadership experience in aerospace, aviation, or high-precision manufacturing
- Strong understanding of aerospace manufacturing processes, quality systems, and regulatory compliance (AS9100, FAA, ITAR)
- Proven track record in strategic planning, operational excellence, and business development
- Experience managing complex supply chains, international business relationships, and customer contracts within aerospace sectors
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, or related field required; advanced degree preferred
